Isle of Skye Photography: Stunning Photography and Prints

This Isle of Skye gallery contains a selection of my Isle of Skye landscape photographs taken over the years since the early 1980’s. These photos have been taken on a range of cameras from analogue to digital and 35mm through to various medium formats. My analogue cameras were initially a Canon AE1 and A1 (both 35mm) and then I graduated on to Mamiya 645 and Mamiya RB67 medium format cameras. When the digital world came along, I started using the Canon 5 series cameras and with the advent of mirrorless digital I have graduated to the Canon R5 series and the Fuji GFXS 100 medium format camera.

Since the early days of taking landscape photographs on Skye, I have found it helpful to split the Island into its key five areas to explore and take my photographs, namely Duirinish, Waternish, Trotternish, Miniginish and Sleat Within these areas are to be found the key iconic Skye sites which are so attractive to tourists today, including the Quirang, The Storr, The Fairy Pools, Brothers Point, The Fairy Glen and Bridge, Neist Point, the Coral Beach, the Cuillin Ridge, MacLeod’s Tables and beyond into more unfamiliar Skye territory.

My landscape photographic prints of the Isle of Skye’s iconic locations are referred to as fine art Giclee prints are printed on photo rag paper and canvas, in my Print Room in Portree, using an Epson Surecolor 12 pigment ink printer. From 2010-2023 I sold many thousands of my prints in various media and framed and unframed formats from An t-Eilean gallery in Portree (now An t-Eilean Print Room) and also online from my web site, and over the years I have built up a loyal following for my photographs, both locally and internationally.
